¡Hola! My name is Irene Belmonte and I am a certified translator.
A few years ago, I moved to London to finish my degree. While living there, I shared a residence dorm with six more students, out of which three were either vegetarian or vegan. Before then, I didn't even know that was a thing. I come from a family with (I would say) quite good eating habits, but I only ate the vegetables that I was familiar with.
I remember the day one of my flatmates shovelled a broccoli floret into my mouth after I told her I had never tried it before. And, hey, I liked it! I also remember celebrating Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas with vegan dinners. And they were surprisingly tasty!
That made me realize how little I knew about food. So I started reading a lot about it. I learned about nutrients, macronutrients, vitamins, the microbiota, etc. It was fascinating. So I switched to a vegetarian diet and specialized in nutrition, health, wellness and wellbeing. Now, my job revolves around something that I am truly passionate about: nutrition, healthy lifestyle and sustainability.

The most remarkable project: the translation of the entire first season of Evan goes wild., which was broadcasted on Discovery Channel Spain in September 2019.

My project consisted of the translation of an Australian Letter of offer and a Warning letter, a thoroughly researched study and glossaries that compared and contextualized both documents in Spain and Australia.
